!!!! SPOILERS AHEAD !!!
If you haven't had your January date night yet, do not read any further!! You have been warned.
So now, with that said, lets move on to what was inside the crate for the January.
January was all about creating Harmony and enjoying a few harmonious and chilled Japanese activities.
The night was to start with the couples preparing some delicious artisan tea from local handmaiden Tea By Birdie - we included some re-usable tea bags and oriental tea cups for the couples to use. We also included some Pocky Sticks to enjoy as a side snack.
Once the tea was made, couples then were able to test their origami skills - we included a few patterns and instructions along with a few sheets of Japanese Origami paper.
Also included in their crate was a paper floating lantern. We asked the couples to write down their wishes and hopes for each other on the lantern before lighting the candle and displaying. Due to the fire restrictions couples were not encouraged to release their lanterns which would be what would usually occur during this type of ceremony.
Some of the final activities for the night were to solve a traditional bamboo puzzle and complete the Sudoku Games included in the booklet, which sounds easier than it was, but the point of the puzzles was to communicate with each other and focus on how you work through tough situations as a couple.
As always there was a Spotify playlist perfectly suited to this date and conversation cards to get the couple talking about themselves again, anything other than the usual work, errand and the like.
So whats next....well keep watching for the February theme announcement coming soon!
